I teach in the University of the East Graduate school, and I'm really surprised at how hard it is to flunk someone. Out of 12 people who took a final exam I co-prepared... one did extremely well at 92%, while two didn't even get half right.
I always try to give folks a chance, but no matter how I look at it, I couldn't pass these two nor raise their grades. The answers they gave simply told me that either they weren't listening or didn't get it at all. When I try to write questions, I try to make them fair -you listen to my lectures, you'll get it.
The fact that one got 92 and about four others got high 80s scores means the test wasn't impossible...
Oh well, never knew that flunking someone was this hard.
